December 8th or an adventure

We wanted to go from Buea to Melong. The bus was supposed to leave at 9.30. "Be there at 8.30" they said the day before. Of course we left at 11.30. On the way to the bus someone talked to me in German! Two Cameroonians who have been working in Berlin for 16 years. What a coincidence. 

We started our journey. Unfortunately we missed Melong. The stops are not official, you never know it its a communal pottie break, a break for buying food or if it is a stop. And sometimes you don't know where you are located at the moment. So we did not know we had already reached our destination. Spontaneously we changed our destination. Should we go to Dschang or Bamenda? We decided to go to Bamenda. It was further away but after it got dark we did start wondering if we were maybe not going to the extreme north. It took so long. Finally my Berlin friends told us we were almost there. They were so nice, the found a hotel for us, put us in a taxi and invited us to a wedding there were going to attend tomorrow. 

What an eventful day.
